Account and learning records
We use your email, chosen name and language to provide sign-in, access and certificates. We store purchased courses, lesson progress, assessment attempts and results, practical project text and certificate records to deliver your training. Provide fictional business information in exercises; do not submit customer records, credentials or confidential material. Creating an account does not subscribe you to marketing.
Payments and service providers
Stripe processes payment and billing information. We receive payment identifiers and status without storing your card details. Our hosting, database and transactional email providers process information to operate the Academy. Access controls and expiry limits protect sign-in records.
Essential storage
A secure essential session cookie keeps you signed in for up to 30 days. Sign-in codes expire after 15 minutes. Your browser stores language, currency and appearance preferences. Course progress is saved in your account rather than only in your browser.
Certificates and sharing
Certificates are private by default. If you enable verification sharing, anyone with the link can see the name recorded at completion, course, edition, reference, date and assessment score. Search indexing is disabled. You can switch sharing off again in your dashboard. Your email and learning account are not included in public verification.
Retention and your choices
Learning records are kept while your account is active so you can return to your courses. Some payment records must be retained for statutory accounting or disputes. Contact info@startsimple.cc to request a copy, correction or deletion of personal information, withdraw sharing, or close your account. We will explain any records we must retain and why. You may complain to your local data protection authority. VCMP Academy is operated by StartMadeSimple Ltd.
