SOLO POS · Workflow note
Test a SOLO POS counter workflow before choosing the hardware
Follow an order through payment recording, stock and daily reporting while checking the tablet, printer, drawer and terminal arrangement separately.
Rehearse a real counter sequence
SOLO POS covers counter orders, products, stock, daily sales and a Profit & Loss view. Build a representative order with product options, hold it if that reflects your service, then complete it using the payment record your team would choose. Follow the sale into stock and the daily overview so the evaluation covers the whole shift rather than a single till screen.
The published product page states that card-terminal connectivity is separate: today, a separate terminal approves the payment and staff record the approved card payment in SOLO POS. Treat integrated card payments as a roadmap item until the product source says otherwise, and confirm payment-provider charges independently from the software subscription.
Confirm the physical setup at the actual counter
A tablet, stand, receipt printer and cash drawer need to work together in the available space. Confirm the exact supplied models, browser-based printing and drawer workflow rather than relying on a Bluetooth specification or a concept illustration. Hardware, delivery, setup and payment-provider charges are separate from the published standalone software price.
If offline operation matters, ask how an authorised tablet is prepared, what the access limits are and how saved sales are checked after reconnecting. The Profit & Loss view uses recorded sales and costs for management estimates; it is not a substitute for statutory accounts.
Your evaluation checklist
- Build, hold and complete a representative counter order with the payment record your team uses.
- Check the resulting stock, daily sales and management Profit & Loss view.
- Confirm the exact tablet, printer, drawer and separate card-terminal workflow.
- Rehearse a connection interruption and verify that saved sales sync after reconnecting.
