VCMP TrueLink · Workflow note
Explain exactly what a TrueLink match means
Publish a domain-controlled record of declared links and help readers distinguish an exact address match from a safety or identity claim.
Declare destinations from a domain you control
TrueLink lets a domain controller publish a record of declared website, social and booking destinations, with up to ten links. DNS evidence establishes control of the domain for the publishing workflow. It does not independently verify legal identity, social-account ownership or the safety of a destination.
An address check compares the complete URL, including the path, query and fragment. A match means the exact address appears in the published record. An unlisted address is not proof of fraud. Use those definitions when presenting the record to customers, rather than describing every matching destination as independently verified.
Keep the published record current
Editing a record creates a new revision and takes it offline until it is republished. DNS evidence expires after seven days; expiry, unpublishing or an inactive subscription can pause public access. Check these states in your evaluation so staff know how to maintain a record when a booking link changes.
TrueLink does not scan destination content, connect private social accounts or provide monitoring and takedowns. Its focused job is publishing and comparing declared addresses under domain control. Prepare the exact destinations first, then use the product page and buyer guide to review current verification and subscription terms.
Your evaluation checklist
- Prepare the exact full URLs you want the published record to declare.
- Explain that DNS evidence proves domain control, not destination safety or legal identity.
- Compare a matching URL with one whose path or query differs.
- Agree who republishes revisions and maintains current DNS evidence.
