VCMP My Venue · Workflow note
Take a My Venue screen update from source asset to physical display
Inventory venue assets, agree an approval path, publish one playlist and check the intended screen before planning a wider hospitality rollout.
Prepare one update that the venue can approve
Start with a real content job such as a menu change, an upcoming event or a time-limited offer. Gather the source image or video, the exact wording, the dates it should run and the person allowed to approve it. My Venue can organise venue media, prepare playlists and publish content to screens; the useful input is an approved asset with an owner and an expiry, not a folder of unexplained files.
Build a small playlist for one representative display. Check image crop, legibility, duration and ordering on the screen orientation you actually use. Keep content creation and operational approval distinct: a polished asset is not ready to publish until the venue has checked prices, allergens, dates and brand wording where they apply.
Verify the display, then plan the repeatable handover
Publish to the agreed screen or test device and inspect the physical result. A dashboard publication record shows that an action was requested; it does not by itself prove that the intended player downloaded the update or that a guest saw it. Record the display, playlist, time and reviewer so a missed or stale item has a clear investigation path.
Before adding more screens, confirm player compatibility, connectivity, installation, support and who removes expired content. My Venue manages hospitality content and playlists; Encore handles venue enquiries and bookings, while SOLO POS handles counter sales. Scope any handoff between those products rather than assuming that screen content changes bookings or till records.
Your evaluation checklist
- Choose one menu, event or offer update with approved wording, dates and an owner.
- Preview the asset and playlist on the intended orientation and screen type.
- Publish to one test display and inspect the physical playback, not only the dashboard.
- Agree player, connectivity, support and expired-content responsibilities before rollout.
